Class Description: Have you ever found a really interesting rock and wondered what it is made of and where it came from? Then you are thinking like a geologist! If you like digging in the dirt, collecting rocks, and learning about the earth and its many features, then this class is for you! We'll learn about atoms and elements, fossils, rocks and minerals of the earth, and more! Some families in the co-op are interested in putting together a trip to The City of Rocks in May/June, following the class and all are welcome to join!
We will be pulling from the curriculum Geology for Kids from Northwest Treasures in Washington State. This class will be taught from a new-world view, but will not be a large part of instruction.
